Who is This Guy?

Hey, it's Jeff!

I’m here to help you build your technology career with ServiceNow.  Both of my kids have careers in IT, and my wife is a third-grade teacher, so I’m surrounded by teaching and tech every day.  I suppose it’s a family thing.

I’ve been a software developer and technical architect for over thirty years working with all sorts of different technologies, platforms, and programming languages.  Most recently, I’ve been spending all of my time working with Servicenow and loving it!

  Over the course of my career, I’ve noticed some stuff:

  • As techies, we tend to over-complicate things, and it’s possible we’ve become more interested in technology than in solving business problems.
  • As techies, we aren’t always the best communicators.  We tend to make assumptions, and speak using acronyms and language not everyone understands.
  • As techies, we sometimes (maybe) think we’re the smartest people in the room and can sometimes (maybe) be a little difficult to work with.

Ok, I’m poking fun here, but I think that’s ok because I’m a techie myself and have done all of these things.

I created Knewget and the ServiceNow CSA Masterclass & Prep Hub to try and help others build a succussful career in technology with a focus on keeping things simple, accessible, and fun.  I chose ServiceNow as the platform because I believe they are onto something monumental in IT. 

Let’s return the power of solving business problems to the people that understand them best, the businesspeople.  Let’s provide tools and services that are intuitive, easy to use, and ‘just make sense’.  And, let’s communicate in a way where small, simple words are just as valuable as big, complicated ones.
